FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its weekly awards following the 12th week of the 2019-20 men’s basketball season. St. Mary’s College sophomore guard Dee Barnes earned CAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week accolades.
Barnes led the Seahawks in scoring with 25 points in an 85-64 victory over Southern Virginia on Saturday (Jan. 25). The sophomore guard shot 60% from the field and finished 6-10 from three-point range. In addition, Barnes dished out two assists in the victory.
The Seahawk men’s basketball team is currently 7-12 overall and 2-2 in the CAC. St. Mary’s College will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 29 when they travel to Christopher Newport for a 7 p.m. game.
