St. Leonard, MD- At approximately 9:33 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2020, the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department(SLVFD) was dispatched to a structure fire on Yoes Corner Lane. The fire was discovered by a passing motorist.

Upon arrival, units discovered two separate fires, one in a single-family home, the second in a barn on the property. Thirty firefighters responded and had both fires under control in thirty minutes. The Office of the State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate.

From the Fire Marshal’s report,”The incident involved two separate fires involving a single-family modular home and a nearby barn on the same property. Both fires were determined to be intentionally set. The investigation is on-going. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the
