UPDATE 6/5/2020- The incident involved a fire on the exterior of a two-car detached garage which extended into the garage.

An adult male and adult female were injured as a result of the fire and transported to area hospitals for treatment of burn injuries. The estimated damage is $25,000(structure) and $500.00(contents)

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.


Hollywood, MD(6/4/2020)- Units from St. Mary’s County are responding to Smith’s Nursery Road and Ingleside Drive for a structure with a reported explosion.

Units at the scene report two victims have sustained burns requiring MEDEVAC transport. Troop2(Maryland State Police Medical Transport), is en route.

Expect delays in the area, and watch for emergency vehicles.
