On Friday, July 31, 2020, The Charles County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page announced the retirements of Lieutenant Jon Norris(25+ years) and Capitan Daniel Gimler(30+ years). Below are the posts on Facebook announcing the retirements.
Lieutenant Jon Norris, #243, is retiring today after more than 25 years of dedicated service to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Norris began his career on April 3, 1995, in the Patrol Division. Throughout his career, he also served in the Community Policing Unit, Management Information Services, the Office of Professional Responsibility, and Homeland Security.

Also retiring today is Captain Daniel Gimler, #199, after more than 30 years of dedicated service to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office. Captain Gimler began his career on January 2, 1990 in the Patrol Division. He served for a number of years in K9, Narcotics, the Special Operations Division, and in the Special Services Division.
He says that what he will miss most when he is gone is the people. We will miss you too, Danny! You’ll always be part of the CCSO family. #CCSOPRIDE
