MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — The Maryland International Raceway (MIR) is embarking on a new chapter with the appointment of Adam Graham as its Track Manager, a move aimed at enhancing the facility’s operational excellence and event management. Graham steps into his role with the responsibility of overseeing racing and staffing operations, bringing a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience from his extensive background in motorsports.

Royce Miller, the Owner and Promoter of MIR, alongside Jason Miller, Co-owner and Promoter of the World Cup Finals and XDA, are set to share their combined 70 years of experience in facility operations, event execution, and track preparation with Graham. This mentorship indicates a bright future for MIR under Graham’s leadership. “I am excited to have Adam join our team here at MIR,” Royce Miller expressed. “He is young, enthusiastic and has a great passion for our sport.”
Graham’s addition to the team is part of a broader strategy to bolster the operational capacity of MIR. Both Royce and Jason Miller look forward to imparting their knowledge and day-to-day responsibilities to Graham, allowing for a focus on strategic growth and, perhaps, some well-earned rest. Jason Miller shared his enthusiasm, noting, “Adam has a strong passion for Drag Racing and he has a bright future in this sport. Dad and I are building one hell of a team at MIR, and Adam is going to be one of our star players!”
Originating from a family deeply rooted in drag racing, Graham’s passion for the sport was ignited at a young age. His familial background includes ownership of two dragstrips in Indiana, fostering his involvement in racing and mechanical pursuits. Despite exploring other interests, such as high school sports and a successful collegiate basketball career at Milligan University, Graham’s dedication to motorsports remained unwavering. His achievements in drag racing, coupled with a comprehensive educational background in Business Administration and Sports Management, underscore his readiness for this pivotal role.
Graham’s journey also includes a significant tenure at Bristol Motor Speedway, where he honed his skills in various operational capacities, from race directing to marketing and event management. His dedication and proficiency earned him the Extra Mile Award, Bristol’s equivalent of Employee of the Year, in consecutive years for his work at both the dragway and the speedway.
Upon transitioning to Maryland, Graham expressed his admiration for the Southern Maryland community and the MIR facility. “The MIR facility is beautiful, and I am excited to bring my background and knowledge of all types of motorsports here to grow this sport I love,” Graham said. His enthusiasm for learning and contributing to the legacy of MIR is palpable, promising a dynamic and prosperous future for the raceway under his stewardship.
