LEONARDTOWN, MD—A man was injured in a shooting incident in a business parking lot in Hollywood, Maryland, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement. The incident occurred in the 24000 block of Three Notch Road on Saturday, March 9, 2024, and has led to an ongoing investigation by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon receiving the report of the shooting, deputies arrived at the scene to find a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Fortunately, the injury was determined to be non-life-threatening. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical treatment for his injuries.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office has taken serious steps to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Detectives and Crime Lab Technicians from the Criminal Investigations Division were dispatched to the scene to take over the investigation, indicating the gravity with which local authorities are treating the case.
