LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — Early Thursday, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies were called to two separate Lexington Park residences following reports of shootings, though no injuries or arrests have been reported in either case.

The first incident occurred around 4:24 a.m. at a home in the 21000 block of Primrose Willow Lane. Deputies responded to a call regarding a gunshot and subsequent glass shattering. A projectile was recovered from one of the units, and the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) was notified to lead the investigation. An adjacent unit’s occupant did not respond to deputies’ contact attempts, leading to a declared barricade situation around 7:53 a.m., which was peacefully resolved by 11 a.m.

In a second, related incident just over an hour later, deputies arrived at a home in the 22000 block of Valley Estates Drive at approximately 5:26 a.m. This residence had sustained multiple bullet holes in the rear. CID has taken over this investigation as well.

Both incidents are still under active investigation, with CID spearheading the inquiries. Authorities have yet to make any arrests in connection with the shootings, and thankfully, no injuries were reported at either scene.
