LEONARDTOWN, Md. — The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County (CSMC) held their latest business meeting, beginning with an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, before proceeding with the approval of the consent agenda.
A significant part of the session was dedicated to recognizing Constitution Week, with the CSMC presenting an official proclamation in honor of this historic observance. The Commissioners also received an update on preparations for the 77th Annual St. Mary’s County Fair. The St. Mary’s County Fair Association provided insights into the upcoming event, which has long been a central part of local culture. John Richards, the Fair Association’s President, was honored for his five decades of service. The Commissioners presented him with a commendation for his contributions over 50 years on the Fair’s Board.
