Seahawks Dominate Penn State Brandywine

The offensive firepower was led by first-year forward Megan Rusk, who tallied two goals and an assist. Junior forwards Mia McKenzie and Lillee Covington also contributed to the scoring frenzy, each netting two goals. Sophomore forward Rylee Cessna provided additional playmaking, assisting on two goals during the rout.

The dominating performance continues to highlight the Seahawks’ depth and scoring versatility, with multiple players stepping up in key moments. Their defensive solidity was also on display, as they kept Penn State Brandywine from registering any goals.

Next Matchup: Notre Dame of Maryland

St. Mary’s College will look to extend its unbeaten streak tonight as they welcome Notre Dame of Maryland University to the Jamie L. Roberts Stadium for a 5 p.m. kickoff. The Seahawks are expected to continue their strong form against Notre Dame (2-7-1, 1-2-1 UEC) in this United East Conference showdown.

Adding to the significance of tonight’s match, the Seahawks will host their Gold Rush and Breast Cancer Awareness Game, an annual event that raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Fans are encouraged to show their support by wearing gold and participating in the various fundraising activities during the game.

With the team currently riding high on momentum and eyeing the top spot in the UEC standings, tonight’s match presents a crucial opportunity for St. Mary’s to keep their conference championship hopes alive. The Seahawks will need to continue their offensive sharpness and defensive resilience as they take on Notre Dame of Maryland.

Looking Ahead

As the regular season nears its conclusion, St. Mary’s College will continue to compete for top honors in the United East Conference. With their current form and regional recognition, the Seahawks are well-positioned to make a deep run in the conference tournament and potentially secure an NCAA Tournament berth.
