PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrant Unit is offering individuals with outstanding warrants the opportunity to clear their legal issues without immediate arrest through its Annual Amnesty Week. From October 21 to October 25, 2024, the unit is encouraging individuals to voluntarily turn themselves in to resolve pending warrants.

Special arrangements have been made with the Circuit Court, where judges will hold hearings throughout the week specifically to address these outstanding warrants. By turning themselves in during Amnesty Week, individuals can avoid being arrested at an inconvenient time and have their cases handled in a more controlled setting.

To take advantage of this opportunity, individuals are asked to contact one of the following officers to schedule their surrender:

  • DFC Ward: 443-532-0603
  • DFC Bell: 443-975-0481
  • CPL Harms: 301-956-4932
  • SGT Kampf: 443-684-3343

Those who have received a letter notifying them of their outstanding warrant are encouraged to act swiftly and make arrangements to turn themselves in. It is important to note that while Amnesty Week provides a window of opportunity, individuals may still be arrested before or after the specified dates if they fail to make arrangements. The Sheriff’s Office has emphasized that failure to voluntarily surrender during this timeframe may result in arrest at the court’s convenience.

The Sheriff’s Office expressed its appreciation for cooperation in this matter and urges anyone with outstanding warrants to take the necessary steps to avoid further complications.
