St. Mary’s City, MD – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland Women’s Soccer Team (14-1-3) showcased their dominance on Wednesday afternoon, defeating the Rosemont Ravens (6-9) in a resounding 6-0 victory during a United East Conference tilt. The win extends the Seahawks’ unbeaten streak to 11 games, as they continue to build momentum heading into the postseason.

How it Happened

The Seahawks wasted no time establishing control of the match. In the fifth minute, Makayla Marvray found the back of the net, putting St. Mary’s on the scoreboard with an early lead. Gracie Tourangeau assisted the goal, helping set the tone for what would be a relentless offensive display.

Just three minutes later, Morgan Kresslein added to the Seahawks’ lead with her first goal of the season, doubling the score to 2-0. The quick succession of goals left Rosemont struggling to keep pace as St. Mary’s pressed forward with intensity.

In the 34th minute, Alyssa McLane netted the third goal of the half for the Seahawks, capitalizing on an assist from Gracie Duch. With a comfortable 3-0 lead, the Seahawks entered halftime in complete control, having outshot Rosemont 14-0 in the opening 45 minutes.

The second half saw more of the same, with St. Mary’s maintaining their stranglehold on the game. Gracie Duch, already contributing an assist in the first half, added two goals in rapid succession. Duch’s first came in the 76th minute, assisted by Lillee Covington, followed by another just a minute later, this time with an assist from Felicia Fishburne. Duch’s stellar performance further solidified the Seahawks’ commanding position at 5-0.

St. Mary’s capped off their scoring in the 82nd minute when Rosemont conceded an own goal, finalizing the scoreline at 6-0.

The Seahawks’ attack was relentless throughout, outshooting Rosemont 30-0 over the course of the game. The Ravens were unable to mount any significant threat, and St. Mary’s walked away with their 11th consecutive clean sheet.
