PRINCE FREDERICK, MD — The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has named Kathy MacAdams, a business retention specialist in the Department of Economic Development, as the November 2024 Employee of the Month.
MacAdams was recognized for her exceptional leadership in advancing the Resident Business Percentage Preference Program (RBP3). This initiative, aimed at encouraging local spending, has positively impacted the county’s economy by creating incentives to support resident-owned businesses.
In addition to her work with RBP3, MacAdams plays a vital role in supporting Calvert County businesses. Her efforts include assisting with permitting and zoning, streamlining county projects, and organizing events that spotlight Calvert County as an attractive location for business development.
“Kathy’s dedication and collaborative approach have made a tangible difference in strengthening our local economy,” the BOCC said in a statement.
The county commended MacAdams for her commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and for her ongoing contributions to the community.
