St. Mary’s College of Maryland Women’s Basketball secured the United East Conference regular season title with a dominant 77-53 win over Valley Forge in their final home game of the season. The victory not only cemented their position at the top of the standings but also marked a historic moment for senior guard Sam Blaylock, who reached the 1,000-point milestone in her collegiate career.

The Seahawks set the tone early, jumping to a 22-13 lead after the first quarter. Tramarie Mobray scored the team’s first seven points, sparking a fast start, while Keira Mason contributed six points to extend the lead. St. Mary’s College maintained its momentum with a late first-quarter push, scoring the final four points of the period.

The second quarter opened with a three-pointer from Halimah Hajhassan, setting the pace for an evenly matched stretch between the two teams. Valley Forge kept pace for much of the quarter, but St. Mary’s maintained its advantage, entering halftime with a 12-point lead. Hajhassan led all scorers in the second quarter, tallying 10 points.

Blaylock’s milestone moment came at the start of the third quarter when she hit a three-pointer to extend the Seahawks’ lead to 17 points. That basket fueled a dominant period for St. Mary’s, as they built a 33-point advantage at one stage, capitalizing on an 18-0 scoring run that saw contributions from five different players. By the end of the third quarter, the Seahawks held a commanding 65-35 lead.

The final quarter saw St. Mary’s close out the win with ease. Skylar Kaplan and Olivia Liszt each added baskets to secure the 24-point victory. With this result, St. Mary’s College officially clinched the United East Conference regular season championship.

Keira Mason led the Seahawks with 17 points and 13 rebounds, recording a double-double. Blaylock finished with 15 points, while Hajhassan added 14. Mobray contributed 10 points and six steals to round out the team’s top performers.
