WALDORF, Md. — Charles County patrol officers arrested Yohance Omari Eubanks, 41, of Clinton, on May 18, 2025, following a violent domestic assault spanning two days.
The victim, who flagged down an officer, reported that Eubanks, the father of her child, assaulted her in a car in Prince George’s County on May 17, then continued the attack at her Waldorf residence. Eubanks faces charges of first-degree assault, false imprisonment, and related offenses and is being held without bond at the Charles County Detention Center.
The assault began on May 17 while the victim and Eubanks were traveling through Prince George’s County. Eubanks punched and strangled the victim inside the vehicle. Upon arriving at her home in Waldorf, he continued the assault, repeatedly choking her throughout the night.
When the victim attempted to flee, Eubanks pinned her to the ground and lay on top of her for an extended period, also taking her cell phone to prevent communication. On the morning of May 18, the victim escaped and located a nearby patrol officer, displaying extensive visible injuries to her face and neck.
Officers responded to the victim’s residence and attempted to contact Eubanks by telephone and loudspeaker, but he did not respond. Entering the home through an open door, they found Eubanks hiding under storage items in the attic. He was apprehended without incident. The swift response by Charles County Sheriff’s Office patrol officers ensured the suspect’s arrest and the victim’s safety.
