MEXICO CITY and LONG POND, Pa., June 12, 2025 — Get ready for a high-octane weekend as NASCAR storms into Mexico City with the Xfinity Series’ The Chilango 150 on Saturday, June 14, at 4:30 p.m. ET, and the Cup Series’ Viva Mexico 250 on Sunday, June 15, at 3 p.m. ET, both at the legendary Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The excitement rolls on with the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series’ MillerTech Battery 200 on Friday, June 20, at 5 p.m. ET, at Pocono Raceway. Fans are buzzing for these races, marking NASCAR’s bold international push and a fierce battle on American soil.
The Chilango 150 promises 157.3 miles of edge-of-your-seat action over 65 laps on the 2.42-mile road course, with stages ending at laps 20, 40, and 65. A hefty $2,151,939 purse is up for grabs, airing live on CW at 4 p.m. ET, with MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR (Channel 90) bringing the roar to radios.
The Viva Mexico 250 cranks it up a notch, delivering 242 miles over 100 laps, with stages at laps 20, 45, and 100, and a massive $12,561,250 purse. Catch it on Amazon Prime at 2 p.m. ET, with MRN and SiriusXM coverage. Then, the MillerTech Battery 200 unleashes 200 miles over 80 laps on Pocono’s 2.5-mile tri-oval, with stages at laps 20, 40, and 80, offering a $782,900 purse on FS1 at 5 p.m. ET, plus NRN and SiriusXM radio.

Mexico City’s debut as a Cup Series track is a historic thrill, the first points-paying race outside the U.S. since 1958’s Toronto showdown, where Lee Petty triumphed and Richard Petty debuted. As the 16th road course, it challenges drivers with its 7,315-foot elevation and bumpy surface. Chase Elliott, with seven road wins, could tie Tony Stewart’s eight with a victory, while Hendrick Motorsports—kings of road courses with five of the last eight wins—aims to dominate again.
The Xfinity Series roars back after 6,264 days, with Justin Allgaier, fresh from his third win and leading with 10 top-fives, ready to shine. At Pocono, Matt Crafton’s 15-race streak and Kyle Busch’s three wins set the stage for a Truck Series showdown, with six different winners in the last six years.
The action heats up early with practice and qualifying. Friday, June 13, kicks off with Cup practice at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime, and Xfinity practice at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. ET on the CW App. Saturday, June 14, features Xfinity qualifying at 10:30 a.m. ET on the CW App and Cup qualifying at noon ET on Amazon Prime, MRN, and SiriusXM, followed by the Chilango 150 at 4:30 p.m. ET. The Viva Mexico 250 caps Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime, MRN, and SiriusXM, with the Truck race at Pocono on June 20 following its own prep schedule.
Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, built in 1959 and named for Mexican F1 legends Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, is a speed demon’s dream, once seeing Felipe Massa hit 364 km/h in 2015. Its high altitude tests endurance, while Pocono’s tri-oval has delivered epic last-lap passes, like in 2020 and 2023. The In-Season Challenge, starting at Atlanta, will use these races’ results to seed a $1 million bracket finale at Indianapolis, adding stakes to every turn.
