ST. INIGOES, MD (September 17, 2025) – Four employees from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at Webster Outlying Field (NAWCAD WOLF) in St. Inigoes have been selected for the Navy’s prestigious Journey Leadership Development Program (JLDP), a one-year initiative to cultivate leadership skills among civilian and military personnel. The 2025 cohort, starting October 1, includes Jason Goss and Lindsay Hanf from the Special Communication Mission Solutions (SCMS) division, and Brianna Martin and Greg Williams from the Ship and Air Integrated Warfare (SAIW) division. Their selection from over 250 applicants Navy-wide underscores NAWCAD WOLF’s commitment to developing future leaders in Southern Maryland’s defense community.

Jason Goss, a mechanical engineer and project lead in the SCMS division, oversees the Joint Incident Site Communications Capability, a critical system enabling the National Guard to coordinate with first responders, local agencies, and military units during emergencies. His work ensures reliable communication channels for crisis response, a vital function for both military and civilian safety. Goss aims to use JLDP to enhance his delegation and team collaboration skills, strengthening his ability to manage projects and mentor others in support of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) mission.

Lindsay Hanf, also a mechanical engineer in the SCMS division, is embedded with the Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. She provides technical and project management support for the acquisition and maintenance of maritime platforms, bridging complex technical requirements to ensure mission success. Hanf views JLDP as an opportunity to develop a stronger leadership mindset and deepen her understanding of her role’s impact on NAVAIR’s broader objectives, while expanding her professional network across the Navy.

Brianna Martin, a mechanical engineer in the SAIW division, focuses on shock testing solution designs for naval equipment. Her responsibilities include developing test procedures, conducting tests, and liaising with shipbuilders to ensure accurate integration of equipment into naval vessels. Martin applied to JLDP to refine her leadership abilities and build connections with Navy leaders, aiming to enhance her contributions to NAWCAD’s mission-critical projects in St. Inigoes.

Greg Williams, an engineering project lead in the SAIW division, manages the integration of Digital Modular Radio Systems and ARC-210 radios for aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates, and shore sites. His work spans procurement to delivery, ensuring seamless communication systems for naval operations. Williams sees JLDP as a pathway to develop skills for future leadership roles, such as branch head or team lead, while gaining a competitive edge in his career.

The JLDP, a Navy-wide program, combines hands-on experience with formal classroom training to foster leadership, management, and organizational expertise. According to NAWCAD WOLF Executive Director Blaine Summers, “Developing the next generation of leaders is one of the most important NAWCAD WOLF strategic imperatives.” The program’s rigorous selection process highlights the caliber of the St. Inigoes selectees, who represent a cross-section of NAWCAD’s technical and operational expertise.

Located near the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, NAWCAD WOLF is a cornerstone of St. Mary’s County’s defense industry, employing hundreds of local engineers, technicians, and support staff. The facility specializes in rapid engineering, integration, and sustainment of airborne, shipboard, and shore-based systems for the Department of Defense, Navy, intelligence community, and homeland security missions.
