News Release, UM Charles Regional Medical Center

On Wednesday, July 17, the Access to Care Coalition (part of Partnerships for a Healthier Charles County) hosted a Healthcare Resource Fair in western Charles County.

The Fair brought information on health resources into the community with the goal of increasing the health literacy of the attendees that visited the event. Nurse Navigator, Teri White (left) delighted in sharing programs that are offered at UM Charles Regional Medical Center and joined Manager of Population Health, Mary Hannah (center in white shirt), in checking blood pressure for those attendees that chose to have this screening.

The event was a huge success with over 70 attendees, 25 agencies represented and free Rita’s ice courtesy of the hospital. This partnership is one important way that UM Charles Regional Medical Center supports the health needs of its community.
