Newburg, MD- Traffic is halted on the southbound side of the Governor Harry Nice/Senator Middleton Bridge.

It appears there is some bridgework happening today., however, several readers of the Chronicle have messaged us and stated they have been at a standstill for over 20 minutes. The traffic cams show no traffic on the bridge coming from the Virginia side.

Traffic is backed-up at least 1/2 mile from the bridge itself.

This is a developing story.
