During the week of January 27 – February 2 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,373 calls for service throughout the community.

Burglary: 20-5521

On January 29, 2020, Deputy Crum responded to Paso Robles Court in Chesapeake Beach for the report of a burglary. The complainant advised that sometime between 4:00 pm on January 28th and 8:00 am on January 29th, an unknown suspect(s) cut and stole the copper refrigerator wire connected from the interior AC unit to the exterior HVAC unit. The value of the stolen property is $100.

Damaged Property: 20-5389

On January 28, 2020, Deputy Bowlan responded to Chesapeake Village Subdivision in Chesapeake Beach for the report of the damaged property. The complainant advised an unknown suspect(s) damaged one of the dog cleaning stations on Dark Star Lane. The value of the damaged property is $1,000.

Theft: 20-5622

On January 29, 2020, Deputy Fox was notified of a theft that occurred during school hours at Northern High School in Owings. The complainant advised an unknown suspect(s) stole their Apple iPhone as well money and their Maryland Identification Card. The value of the stolen property is $820.

Theft: 20-5706

On January 30, 2020, Deputy Lewis met with a complainant who was reporting a theft that occurred on 7th Street in North Beach. The complainant advised that sometime between 3:40 am and 4:07 am on January 30th, an unknown suspect(s) stole their 2014 black Volkswagen Jetta from their home.

Theft: 20-5730

On January 30, 2020, Deputy Sturdivant met with a complainant at the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office who was reporting a theft that occurred at Dunn Clean Laundry in Prince Frederick. The complainant advised that they were doing laundry at the laundromat and when they returned home, they noticed their prescription medication was missing from their purse as well as $22 in quarters. The total value of the stolen property is $67.
