Pomonkey, MD- On Monday, February 3, 2020, at 12:00 a.m. the Bryans Road Volunteer Fire Department, responded to Bumpy Oak Road and Birchwood Place for a reported vehcile fire.

Six firefighters responded and found a 2017 Chevrolet Suburban fully engulfed. The firefighters had the vehicle fire under control in approximately 10 minutes. and the Office of the State Fire Marshal was called to investigate.

The Fire Marshal released it’s preliminary reported and stated the fire was discovered by a passer-by and is incendiary; meaning it was started by someone. The Fire Marshal estimates the damage to be $15,000.00 and is asking for anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Regional Office, at 443-550-6832.
