North Beach, MD- At approximately 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2020, the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department(NBVFD) responded to Bay Avenue for a reported structure fire.

The NBVFD arrived with with thirty personnel to discover a detached shed fire that was spreading to an unoccupied neighboring residential structure.

The NBVFD has the fire under control in thirty-minutes and the Office of the State Fire Marshal was called to investigate.

According to the Fire Marshals preliminary report, the fire originated inside of a detached shed at 9201 Bay Avenue and spread to a neighboring unoccupied house, causing damage to it as well.  There were no injuries as a result of the fire, nor were any occupants displaced.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The estimated damage is $30,000.00($25K to structure, $5k to contents)
