On September 12, patrol deputies and detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland arrested a 17-year-old juvenile on multiple weapons charges after executing a search warrant on a residence in California, Maryland.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office says in a statement that the 17-year-old was arrested on weapons charges after officers were granted a search warrant for a home in the 45000 block of Woodstown Way in California.

A loaded P80 9MM handgun with no serial number was found inside the house, along with an extended KRISS Vector magazine that can hold 40 rounds. The handgun was also found to be loaded with 20 rounds.

Because Maryland law does not allow juveniles to possess regulated firearms, the 17-year-old is facing adult charges. They have been charged with possession of a firearm by a minor, possession of a firearm without a serial number, having a handgun on a person, and having a loaded handgun on a person. The case was investigated by the St. Mary’s County Patrol and Criminal Investigations Divisions.
